12-night ‘Belize Multisport’ Package

Experience the best of the Belize mainland and the tropical Islands with this 12-night multi-sport package offering an impressive array of trips: jungle horseback riding, cave tubing, zip Lining, Caracol & Xunantunich Mayan temples, kayaking, visiting the iguana sanctuary, ‘black hole drop’ abseiling, Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) caving adventure, and the Belize zoo. This is a full itinerary that will satisfy the most demanding adventurer, with the opportunity to explore the best of the Belize’s mainland and exotic island beaches.

Day 1: We will meet you at the Municipal or International Airport and transfer you to our jungle lodge to begin your all-inclusive vacation adventure. Relax after your day’s travel and enjoy the swimming Pool, bird life and jungle surroundings.

Day 2: Cave tubing and zip-lining adventure tour. Float along underground waterways, with beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, and some Mayan artifacts, finished off with some gentle floating through jungle surroundings. This is followed by an 8-platform zip-lining adventure, from tree to tree and across a river, for the real daredevils. A day you will never forget!!

Day 3: The 3-cave kayaking day trip. Today, you venture far off the beaten track to discover the Five Blues Lake Nature Reserve by kayak. It is a strenuous but fun day, discovering three stunning caves, and kayaking through unspoiled nature. Lunch is taken on the riverbank on a turned-over kayak.

Day 4: Early Breakfast prepares you for a day trip to the Caracol Mayan temples. Several hours into the Jungle, this huge and ancient Mayan site awaits you. Your trained tour guide will take you through the ruins, explaining the history of Caracol and the sacred Mayan traditions. The long (and often bumpy) ride gets broken up by a stop and swim at lovely waterfalls of Rio on Pool. If you don’t like the idea of a long and bumpy ride, you can visit the Mayan temples of Tikal, Guatemala instead. Contact us for more information.

Day 5: Morning relaxation at the Belize Jungle Dome, in our stunning jungle surroundings, enjoying the wildlife, swimming pool and walks around our grounds. Lunch will be taken at the lodge before saddling up and heading off into the jungle on horseback for a 2 1/2 hr. ride through forests, rivers and Teak fields of the Cayo District.

Day 6: Explore the Xunantunich Mayan temples, another major Mayan site in Belize. After lunch in San Ignacio you will have a chance to get ‘close and personal’ to an array of iguanas at the Iguana sanctuary.

Day 7: Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) caving and jungle hike. Another spectacular trip into the depths of the Belize jungle. Enter the sacred cave, which the Mayan believed was the entrance to the underworld and which is still filled with Mayan sacrifices. Explore the history of this untouched and highly unusual Mayan Site.

Day 8: After breakfast, you’ll be hiking (1 1/2 hr. walk) to a 300 feet sinkhole, to the infamous black hole drop adventure, 300 feet above the rainforest canopy that grows out from the basin. After an exhilarating abseil down (and listening to your scream echoing back at you), a mouthwatering picnic & the discovery of the ‘the Mother of all Caves’ awaits. We end the trip by a short climb and another hike back.

Day 9: Morning transfer to Belize City with a stop at the Belize Zoo, a fantastic little wildlife sanctuary and rescue center. In Belize City, you will take a short flight to the tropical Islands for the second part of this trip. After settling into your beach resort you will have the day to relax and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Ambergris Caye.

Day 10: Full day Manatee watching trip, discovering the majestic animals of these turquoise waters. This trip offers plenty of opportunities to snorkel and a ‘Robinson Crusoe style’ beach BBQ.

Day 11: Swimming with Sharks and Rays. Located near Hol Chan, this exciting site affords the opportunity to swim with a large collection of Nurse Sharks and Southern Stingrays. The rays, having wing-spans of up to four feet, swim close enough to be touched as do the nurse sharks, who are up to six feet in length

Day 12: Day to rest and enjoy the beaches, do some shopping and sightseeing around the island.

Day 13: Short flight back to Belize International Airport for connecting flight home.
